Magnetic White Boards

We are all familiar with the dry wipe white board but have you considered magnetic white boards? White boards have been around for some years now and they are regularly used for everything from scribbling down a shopping list to planning company reorganizations. They are basically like a large notepad that is large enough to lay out thoughts and ideas in a way that can be shared with others but also has the facility to rub out what is written or drawn on the white board and use it again and again.

The magnetic white board adds an additional feature which is attaching small magnetic objects either to hold papers in place on the board, to use as markers on the board or by using magnetic vinyl shapes and strips you can lay out quite complex mind maps and join them together without affecting the writing already on the white board.

What To Do With A Magnetic Whiteboard

There are as many uses for a dry wipe whiteboard as there are people and ideas but by having a magnetic whiteboard we open up all sorts of additional possibilities to white board use.

The most obvious use is by placing small magnetic pieces onto pieces of paper we want to display on the board we can easily place them where we want but also easily move them around to explain some point or other. This shows the greatest benefit of using a magnetic whiteboard, it allows for great flexibility.

You can purchase all sorts of different magnetic pieces to use on the board. Anything from a simple magnetic arrow to point to a particular item to colored markers, pre-printed magnetic pieces to represent anything you want, such as departments, people or places.

If you ever tried to plan a kitchen layout you will know how drawing a layout and then redrawing it time and time again to make everything fit as you would like can be a tedious task. Imagine how much easier it would have been if you had accurate scale shapes to represent the kitchen cabinets and you could move them around on a magnetic board.

Now imagine you wanted to represent company staff, desk positions, departments or store layouts. You could even layout your websites and show the links between them to build linkwheels or just to make sure all the links were in place. The possibilities provided by a magnetic whiteboard are endless and it can be one of those tools that you only fully understand the benefits of once you have one and start to use it.

They are available in different sizes ranging from the size of a piece of paper to about 8 ' * 4' so there is a size for just about any requirement and they are as flexible as your imagination.
